Maybe you are new to the whole launch team gig, so, I’d like to explain to you how it works before you commit to me and my team.
What is a launch team?
A launch team is a group of very special people that will help me get the word out about my new book during the pre-order period and on the publication day, which is December 6th, 2022. I would love to get the word out about my book, Radical Grace: Live Free and Unashamed, as much as possible because I think it will really help people to better understand God and His grace. That’s why I wrote it in the first place, and I need your help, if you are willing.
My mission is to send you a free advanced reader’s digital PDF copy of Radical Grace: Live Free and Unashamed as well as a few other freebies that I’ll talk about in a bit. The PDF will be attached to your welcome email.
Your mission, if you choose to accept it:

Apply to join the team.

As a member of the team, your name will automatically be entered into the sweepstakes drawing for one of three prize packages. Drawing will be held on launch day, December 6th, 2022. You will be notified by email of the winners, one of which might just be you! You do not need to purchase anything to be entered.

1 First prize package: Harman JBL wireless portable speaker, signed hardcover copy of Radical Grace & a Radical Grace mug.

2 Second prize packages: signed hardcover copy of Radical Grace & a Radical Grace mug.

If you are a close family member (kids, parents, siblings), your name will not be entered into the drawing. Ask for a portable speaker for Christmas. ;) Love you!

During the application process, you will receive an email to confirm that you want to be added to my email list. You will then receive an email that includes the PDF advanced reader's version of my book.

Download the PDF copy and save it so you can get back to it when you are ready to learn all about God's radical grace.

Read the PDF advanced reader's copy of the book so you will be ready to leave an honest review and tell others about the book on Dec 6th.
- This probably goes without saying, please don't share the PDF digital file with others.
- Highlight and take notes as you go so you may share your thoughts with me and others.

I am not going to require you to pre-order a copy of the book to be on my launch team. The benefit of you purchasing a copy, of course, is that you would be able to leave a review as a verified purchaser where you bought it. It also adds to my pre-order numbers, which helps promote my book on the various book retailers' sites. I am promoting pre-orders on Amazon currently to help with promotion there, but the book can be purchased from any book retailer.

Whether you purchase the book or not, I ask that you please leave an honest review on a site that sells the book.

If you don't purchase a copy, you can always add something like the following to your review: "I received a free advanced reader copy for an honest review." Please include the "honest" part, or something similar, and please be honest, I really want to know!

Though, if you do like the book, you may want to purchase the print version and give it to a family member or friend as a gift, or get the eBook version for yourself. If you purchase a print version of the book, I would be happy to mail you a free bookmark and signed bookplate, which are great if you are giving the book to someone as a gift or if you would like a signed copy for yourself. If you want I will customize your bookplate with a dedication to whomever you wish, just let me know their name on the application form.

After you read the book, you will be able to easily tell other people about it. Your mission will be to share the news with family and friends, on your blog, in chats, in conversations both online and in person, on your podcast, and to post info about it to your social media pages including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linked In, Pinterest, and of course, Goodreads, if you have any of these accounts.

I will send you digital files of images that you can easily share to your social media sites to help promote my book.

I will also send you some example reviews to help you get ideas of what book reviews are like.

If you would like your review to be added to my website, please send it to me at laurel@laurelappel.com and I'd be blessed to add it to the list!

You can also post your favorite quotes from the book, just make sure to cite my name and the title of the book along with the quote. Please also let me know your favorite quotes, I'd love to know!

Basically, what I am asking you to do is to help me market and promote my book. And in return, your name will be entered into the sweepstakes drawing for one of three prize packages, you will receive the advanced reader’s copy (ARC) PDF version of Radical Grace, and prior to the Companion Bible Study's release, if you want it, I will email that ARC PDF version to you as a gift of thanks.
Also, like I mentioned, if you purchase a print version of the book, I will mail you a free bookmark and signed bookplate, dedicated to you or to whomever you wish, just let me know on the application form.
You will receive a few emails from me during the launch prep period that will help you navigate your tasks. You will also get an exclusive invitation to join the Radical Grace Launch Team Facebook group where we will discuss the book, I will answer any of your questions about the book or the writing and self-publishing processes, and we will discuss the launch.
I would be honored to have you join my team and I would be eternally grateful for your assistance in giving my book the best chance it can get on launch day.
